Volunteers
Volunteers play an integral role in helping FRC fulfill its mission: to make tennis accessible to youth in the Berkeley area. Our organization was founded on the idea that true leaders understand that leadership is not about them but about those they serve. FRC is a way to give back to the community through an activity greatly enjoyed by our members, and we are always looking for more help! Volunteers in our club serve primarily as coaches and teach kids the fundamentals of tennis. Due to campus policies, only UC Berkeley students may join our club as volunteers. If you are interested in helping, be sure to check out our support page to find out ways to do so! Prospective volunteers must fill out an application form and e-mail it to [email protected]. Thanks for your interest!
Students
If you are currently in elementary-high school, you are eligible to sign-up for our weekly tennis sessions held on Saturday from 10am-12pm at the Willard Park Tennis Courts located next to Regent and Derby. As a student, you are entitled to free racquet loans whenever you attend our practices and free coaching and tips from our volunteers! FRC officers and volunteers are always happy to help out with your tennis needs, whether that be starting from the ground up or helping you fine-tune your skills. If you're interested, feel free to fill out the online form and sign-up for our weekly practices. Hope to see you on the courts!
